This was touching, but let’s focus on the realities. People are not believing this sh*t, just like the mainstream media isn’t going to either. Yes, every sorority does some sort of community service. However, we’ve been pounding this idea into conversations with media, family, friends…essentially anyone non-Greek. They believe us, to a point. They know. They just don’t care. This comment is not at all intended to knock this video, because it’s great and proves a great point, so props to Phi Sig at Temple! But, there’s a lot that needs to be done. We need to figure out how to promote sororities as positive women’s empowerment organizations that actually benefit women’s attitudes and minds, especially in the future. Somehow, I think we can all come together and do that. I’m super hopeful.
