As a graduate (class of ’08), and non-KKG member at the Uni. of CT, I am appalled at these allegations. The best of friends that I have had were in Kappa. These women are the epitome of what a sorority should encompass. They are the most highly regarded sorority on the UConn campus, with the most class/etiquette, academic prowess, and core fundamentals that anyone would desire in a student, friend, employee, etc. I am not sure what this accuser went through, but I do know the situation was no where NEAR what she is suggesting. As a friend of the sorority I have been to many events, seen pledges, and sisters alike, respectfully bow-out of events (drinking, and other) due to any reason. These women have always been treated with regard and respect for their decision. UConn prides itself on being the Top Public University in New England – I only hope that they give KKG the best, and same fair treatment they have given to this accuser before any decision is made. There are three sides to every story – and they all deserve a fair chance to be heard. #teamkappa xoxo
