I hate that assumption that if you go to formal with a guy, sex is expected. I can’t speak for all, but most frat guys aren’t just a big pile of hormones- they think with their top head more than not. And if they don’t respect you enough to understand that you don’t want to have sex, then that makes them the bad person in general. Not you for wanting to go to a formal and have a little fun. If no one ever breaks that assumption of formals, then it won’t change. Change starts with me and you, and standing up for what’s right and what we believe in. I believe that not everything in college is about sex and debauchery. Including a formal. There’s something to say about being able to go and just have a good time with some friends and do it on foreign soil.
