I do understand that it may have been only a few people, but I would argue that it was the responses of the girls in your chapter that egged it on. It’s unfortunate that the entire chapter is being judged based on the comments of a few, but unfortunately that is how it is. You have aired your dirty laundry in public. What sadden’s me the most is how much this is probably going to hurt your recruitment. There were several user names posting, and in the video she states (if I’m not mistaken) that girls were being mean to her on Facebook over this? Not classy. Bottom line, stop acting like victims in the situation and handle things better next time.
However, “sweetheart” and “bless your heart” are getting to be incredibly stereotypical and overused. Everyone I’ve heard say “bless her heart” is trying WAY too hard.
Exactly! No one who is giving death threats is upholding the standards of the Greek Community AT ALL. People may have been upset about this, but come on.
Ok, I’ve sat back for way to long and watched this poor girl get bullied over this video. It is JUST a video. The people who have REALLY made themselves look bad are the CSU TriDeltas (as much as I hate to admit my own sisters are partly in the wrong). She was stating her opinion. Greek life isn’t for everyone, and if you all are so upset about a bunch of random comments made on youtube then you need to take a good look at yourselves.
TriDeltas are supposed to symbolize class. CSU TriDelta has not handled this well at all, and need to shape up their act. Girls posting “yea, we dropped the bitch” and things of that nature should be ashamed. She may have dropped, but she once was a sister. Like it or not, you guys chose her. You are also the ones who were aware of this video before TSM posted it, and should have expressed a problem with it then. Also, if you have a problem with this video and how it makes you look, deal with it privately and NOT all over TSM.
Because you have to be an award winning writer to get published on TFM, right? Get a life. It’s funny, and if you can’t see how it’s true for a lot of sorority girls, maybe you need to take a better look at yourself.
Another thing, why do you let this bother you so much? Don’t you have better things to do? It’s a COLUMN. On a WEBSITE (not even a serious or academic website at that). Just the fact that you get so annoyed with it is pretty pathetic.

No offense, but no self respecting sorority girl would post a picture of their newest pledge class on this site because it’s only going to be torn apart by horny fraternity men. And that picture with the girls in the white has to be fake….literally terrible.
What do you ladies recommend as a tote to carry books in? Just some info I’m a music major so I have LOTS of books all the time so what’s a good, durable bag? I’m just really against anything resembling a backpack and lilly seems to have taken all the totes off their site. HELP!
I find that my longchamp usually works well. I can hold my laptop and some books in there with no problem, and they are very sturdy! If you have a lot of books, I would recommend getting a large one.
Also, Vineyard Vines also makes good canvas bags. There’s even a Tridelta one (the ribbon has dolphins on it). 🙂
My mom always told me never leave or change schools for a boy. I think this has been great advice, especially when I see girls transfer because they want to be with their boyfriends and it doesn’t work out. They should have known better…

-Always be at your full potential
-Putting on a little make up when you’re feeling bad makes you feel just a little bit better
-Have self respect
-When you mess up, apologize.
