This attitude (a “boys will be boys” attitude) is part of the problem. No, men are not allowed to objectify and promote taking advantage of young women. No, that is not okay. It is certainly possible that they did not have any super malicious intent, but that doesn’t mean that what they did wasn’t problematic or supporting rape culture.
You don’t think that the implication of older men purposely intoxicating younger women (18 or under) in an attempt to have sex with them is indicative of rape culture? It is the objectification of (mostly young, naive) women and it is certainly a part of rape culture.
