Not true, SouthernBelle. ADPi was founded in 1851 as the first secret society for college women, originally called The Adelphean Society, from the Greek word for sister. Then Phi Mu was founded in 1852 as the first fraternity for women. Both of these were Greek organizations for women, and both came before Theta’s founding year in 1870.
SC_Legacy, that’s not even close to being true. I’m a Phi Mu in the south as well and some of my very best friends are Chi O’s, and they are the farthest thing from hoes as possible. People just call them that because it rhymes, just like “shady ADPi” or “easy DZ” or “hold my crown while I go down.” Every sorority has a stupid nickname, like crownedandclassy says. However, it is incredibly unfair for you to generalize all southern Chi O’s as hoes just because you know some like that; you’re just making it ok for GDIs to generalize all of us as stupid, pin-headed sorority bimbos, or for other sororities to call us “Phi Moos.” There are amazing Greek girls who are a total asset to their chapter, and there are some girls who are an embarrassment to it, in EVERY sorority, including Phi Mu. Being proud to be Greek and respecting all others who have made that great decision, TSM. They may have different letters than us, but they are still our sisters. LIOB.
Honey, he is a dedicated man. Just because he respects me and wants to make me happy doesn’t make him a pussy, it makes him a real man. He puts me on a pedestal, like any man should.
