Does anyone know where I can get some cute new bows and headbands for the fall season?

Definitely check out forever21, but if you’re willing to spend a little (ok, a lot) more, go to 1happygirl.com! They have super cute stuff and in their accessories section they have adorable headbands! Also, you can try shopruche.com, modcloth.com, and anthropologie.com! If they’re too expensive, you can print the pictures out, go up to Hobs Lobs, and recreate them yourself! Hope this helps! 🙂

Since I go to school in a VERY small town (no Target: completely devastating), I have mastered the concept of online shopping. I adore just about everything from J. Crew and went to the outlet store to stock up before leaving for school, as well as H&M, and I definitely recommend stopping in Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, and Nordstrom. However, since I don’t have any of those stores here, I have discovered a plethora of fabulous online stores that I now rely on to fill my wardrobe. The first is Anthropologie: seriously adorable stuff, a little pricey if you have a small budget like me, but their clothes and accessories are precious and look great on everybody! I’m obsessed! The next would be Victoria’s Secret: obviously they have amazing undergarments and swimwear (Go buy an Incredible bra! LOVE. IT.), but truth be told, they also have super cute clothes, and for a good price. Next is Singer22.com. Huge variety of brands and styles, something for everybody. The prices can get a little steep, so look carefully! Bonus: if there’s an outfit you saw on a celebrity and fell in love with, chances are they have it! Next is piperlime.com. Everything cheaper than in store, and everything adorable, especially the shoes. Next is frecklesshop.com. Umm is anyone else as obsessed with Judith March as I am? Last is theoutnet.com. Almost every major designer (Badgley Mischka, Dolce & Gabbana, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, etc), and all of it at least 50% off. Enjoy! :)

Thanks for the websites! I love online shopping also.
Another website is modcloth.com. It’s vintage clothing, and some are just plain strange, but there’s cute finds every once in a while! If you like anthropologie, you’d like this. Also, Urban Outfitters has a few goods finds.

Ahh I LOVE modcloth! They have some seriously cute stuff! Take a look at their home merchandise, they sell the funniest little things to decorate with!

I am thoroughly impressed with your logic and your point of view, Fratcastlepioneer! I agree in that I wish I saw more women shooting for careers like you’ve mentioned, but like some of these ladies have said, a lot of it comes down to personal choice. Most of my friends who are elementary education majors chose that career path simply because they love kids and want to impact their lives. It’s like my mother explained to me a few years ago when I was thinking about what I wanted to do with my life: No woman should go without a degree. If a woman chooses to be a stay-at-home mom and God forbid something happens to her husband, she’ll still be able to provide for her kids. My mother also asked me whether it was important to me to have a job that can be found anywhere if I wanted to be able to follow where my husband’s career takes him, and if it was important to me to have a job where I would have time for my kids. It’s all about choices. So for example, I chose to pursue a career as a dentist because I love medicine, dentists are needed everywhere, and they’re not always on call like a lot of medical doctors. Men really just have to worry about career, whereas women generally worry about the flexibility of their career in terms of location and kids.

I completely agree with what you’re saying Tiara, I think the people on the show are ridiculous but not all pageants (and pageant moms) are like that. I can’t really speak from experience because I’ve never done pageants, but I’m a dancer and there are some craaaazy stage moms who are identical to the moms on T&T. I think that’s common with most sports/extra-curriculars/etc though, there are crazy soccer moms, crazy football moms, crazy tennis moms, you name it. After watching T&T I jokingly told my fiance our children will never be in pageants, but like you said, if the kid wants to do it, let ’em do it!

Really? You’re seriously going to make a bitchy comment like that about someone who’s trying to do something and meaningful with her life like saving lives? Get over yourself, and grow up. Hope you never end up in her ER.

PearlsRN, major snaps from another health-related science major! So beautiful to see other Greek women fulfilling their potential and proving the “stupid sorority girl” stereotype wrong! Congrats on all your success and good luck with the rest! <3

Woahhhh woah woah. I agree that the little girls on that show are bratty and stuck up, but I couldn’t be more disgusted by the statement made about how the majority of sorority girls are stuck up. That is NOT what being in a sorority, or in the Greek system period, is about in the least. Being Greek absolutely DOES NOT give you or anybody the right to assume that you’re better than everyone who doesn’t have letters or the right to act like a complete bitch/asshole. The whole point of Greek life is to form life-long bonds, contribute to the community, and make the most of our college careers. If you think all sorority girls are bratty and stuck up, you haven’t met enough sorority girls and your school must really suck if it has so many crappy people.

I don’t think it’s an environment sorority girls need to overcome in order to be sweet. They (we) choose whether or not to act like a snob and whether or not to conform to the bad behavior of other girls. I think the sweet girls are just naturally sweet girls regardless of the situation, and the nasty girls are just naturally nasty girls regardless of the situation. Bottom line, I don’t think joining a sorority is an excuse for a girl to become a snob.

Right? When I think of how I want my sorority to appear to others, I want us to be seen as respectful, kind, humble ladies that are friends to everyone! None of this judging, being nasty, talking behind each others backs nonsense; that’s not how a sorority lady is supposed to act.
