I’m going as the tooth fairy! Get the cheap bright tooth brushes from target and boil them to make them soft so they can be molded into bracelets. I’m wearing a white dress with wings and sparkly heels and a tiara with a big tooth on it
Any equestrians might be able to help me answer this one.
I’m a long time Arab owner, I’ve had a few pure and Arab crosses but I’m looking for something (if at all possible) a little hotter. My trainer suggested a Trakehner or a Trakehner cross. Any thoughts on the breed?
All you ladies are so inspirational! I am running my first half marathon this summer and I was wondering if you had any suggestions for me?
Interval training! I worked with a coach for my first one and the one thing she always stressed was intervals. Start with a minute running a minute walking, move to five running walking and you’ll be up to running a mile walking a mile in no time. Also, train for more than the length of the race, that way you can finish strong instead of tiring at 13 miles. Train for 15!
Girls, any suggestions of perfume? I am addicted to my Miss Dior Cherie but I’m looking to try something new. Any ideas of something light, floral and classy?
I’ve worn Stella McCartney for at least four years. I think it’s important to find a scent you love and make it your signature. Anytime a boy smells it, he’ll be reminded of you. One of my friends wears Lacoste Inspiration and it smells phenomenal. If I were to switch, it would probably be to that.
I ordered Lacoste Inspiration and it’s AMAZING. I’m so in love. Thanks again!
I need a creative idea for my Sigma Chi fratdaddy/fiance’s newest cooler. I’m making them for him and his groomsmen to take on the bachelor trip but I want to do something different than just the usual Norman Shield and Cross. And I have to make 10 so I want to make them all a little different. I’ve got a few ideas but would love some input!
Ok so I agree with what everyone is saying about clothes.. but I am having the summer hair swell. I need a lighter conditioner and a better hairspray because I feel like my hair is melting… suggestions?
I’m in love with Pureology, especially if you have colored hair (I don’t but use it anyways). It smells amazing, and the boys always love the smell. Its really easy on your hair and not heavy at all.
I’m an avid hunter! I’ve tagged along with my dad to shoot waterfowl and upland bird (ducks, geese, pheasant) since I can remember, and I’ve been deer hunting for the last 4 years. 2 years ago, I shot the biggest buck in the state by a woman. A boy’s reaction when they find out a blonde cheerleader-type is also an experienced hunter is priceless.
Love it! It’s amazing putting boys to shame when you gun and trophy is bigger and better than theirs
I’ll be the first, but aside from tennis and running I also love to play soccer.
I’ve ridden my entire life, played soccer for 11 years ( I totes get you on this!), danced for 13, just learned to ski and am training for my first marathon.
I also LOVE to hunt and am going on my first African hunt next summer. Fishing too 🙂
I’m soo stoked at how many girls love to ride! When I started this I figured we’d get a few nasty comments from the boys about how we should leave sports to them but this just shows how utterly amazing we all are! I’m a life time equestrian, everything from dressage and showmanship to hunter equitation and jumpers.
I’m super proud to see everyone else too! I love the fact that we can be proud of not only being crafty and amazing cooks but classy athletic women as well!
Snaps!!
We all live in gorgeous houses! And I love how the boys insist on trying to start fights when all we want to do is admire houses on other campuses. It doesn’t matter, top or bottom tier, if the house is amazing, post it!
Thank you SigmaSweet for this discussion! I have been wanting to hear what y’all have to say about all kinds of fads! And thank you Glitter_and_Pearls for the perfume question! I was wondering the same thing! I’m looking for a new scent but I can’t decide! There are too many to choose from! But I do love my Amazing Grace too, 1874SocietyGirl. So for right now I’m just sticking with that. Also, what are y’all’s favorite nail colors for Summer 2011? What do y’all think about the Pirate collection by OPI? Are y’all liking that or Essie’s Brazialiant collection better? And what size pearls do you all wear? Where I am from, a lot of girls love to wear huge pearls but I don’t know if that is just a regional thing? Are you all into the regular size or the larger ones? Maybe you all think that the bigger the pearl the more money you have, but I have never thought of it like that. Thanks in advance for the advice and help!Thank you all so much for creating such a great TSM community!
I don’t like big pearls on necklaces, because I think they look fake and clunky even if they’re real. I love them for earrings though!
I normally love Essie, but the Braziliant collection is a little too wild for my taste. (Then again, I never wear anything but light pink on my nails…) Delicacy is my standby color, or occasionally Fun in the Gondola, which is a little bit brighter.
Also, I’ve been meaning to ask about tanning. I love getting some summer color, but I never lay out because I don’t want wrinkles! Any thoughts about natural-looking healthy options? Good self-tanners, bronzers, etc.?
Prettylittlepearls for the bronzer question, go with St. Tropez. Its not super expensive but it works really well. But you have to get the foaming mousse, not the lotion because it spots real easy.
One of our local alumni owns a custom apparel shop and for my roomate and I she created dark blue comforters with our crest embroidered on them in silver. We had dark blue sheer curtains and blue and white pillows.

I am a fan of Priscilla of Boston. A lot of her gowns are very classic yet have a modern twist like pockets.
I love Priscilla of Boston. My sister just got married and wore a Priscilla of Boston ball gown. It was gorgeous and it had pockets! I’ve heard she does custom work as well, which I’m sure are absolutely darling.
If you have a family jeweler, that is the way to go. If not, just a local jeweler is probably going to be your best bet. Ask sisters who have a wonderful set where they got theirs.

A gal on here suggested it, but I’m in love with Lacoste Inspiration
Snaps to this!

Amazing story! Don’t see the movie though, I was very disapointed!

This stuff is absolutely darling! I love the custom bedding options!
And even then, it should never been seen by anyone but your fratdaddy.
