Love this. Bid Day was just Monday for me and I am in what’s considered the “lame sorority” at my school. People constantly talk shit about us and say “you’re so pretty why aren’t you in ABC sorority?”. I feel at home with my sisters. And I’ve only known them for about a week but I know these girls will have my back, regardless of their looks.
This was such a well written article. I’ll be a freshman starting in 2 weeks (where black girls don’t join the sororities). This just reassures me that when I rush and find my sorority, my sisters will love me for me-regardless of the fact that I’m half black.
