    Just Frat, what you wrote about pre-professional programs (pre-med, pre-law, business, etc.) also applies to engineering. Unless you have decent grades, you are not necessarily going to be “better prepared for grad school” or “a better candidate for a job” as an engineer.

    If a guy is intelligent and applies himself to his studies, his major doesn’t really matter. For instance, you can get into law school with a degree in history, classics, or, even, chemistry–as long as you’ve done well. I have a friend who majored in mechanical engineering and now works for a hedge fund. Again, go for the smart guys.

    How did this post make the TSM wall? If your former classmates were truly interested in and jealous of your life, they would have added you a long time ago, sweetheart. And even so, purposely lowering people is tasteless!
