I normally dont post pointless comments on pics on this site but this argument is infuriating. Its definitely an AR 15. An M 4 is just a fully auto AR 15 firing a 5.56mm round with an 14.5 in barrel meaning its illegal to own without a class 3 license. AR 15 describes all modular guns similar to the ArmaLite Model 15 (where AR 15 came from)encompassing the M16, M4, and thousands of other weapons in calibers ranging from .22LR to .50 beowulf. It is not a copyright of any kind. As far as this gun goes its probably a civilian AR 15 with a 16in barrel firing a .223 (556 without the balls)round
First off, none of the guys care about your clothing so chill out. If some stute is flipping out, its probably because you have a better body than them.
Secondly, a note for future shooting safety, your dad seems to have left out two very important rules. 1. Always treat a gun as if it is loaded, even when you are just being an idiot taking a picture with it and, along the same line, 2. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Someone who knows how to shoot will never, even in posed pictures, place a finger inside the trigger guard unless they are on target and in a position to discharge the weapon.
And lastly, I realize that everyone slips, but I doubt any of us look so inept at shooting a rifle that someone could mistake us for a Democrat…..EVER! I mean come on, Michelle Obama probably has a better shooting stance than that.
P.S. My slampiece, who I have seen nail a hog at 100 yds with my .30-06, literally fell over laughing when she saw this picture.
