THANK YOU, ADPresh… I swear people go through these posts with a fine-toothed comb trying to find SOMETHING they can critique, just to “one up” the post. It’s so obnox.
I know girls that claim that they LOVE Lilly Pulitzer when all they own is a coozie… It’s like Saying you love the Yankees when you’ve never watched a game.
Sunscreen doesn’t prevent you from getting tan, it prevents you from getting burned. I wear SPF 30 every time I’m out on the lake, and still have an amazing tan, if I do say so myself. Saggy skin, sun spots, and melanoma are NOT cute. Taking care of yourself, however, is.
I never realized how southern my accent is… But when I am speaking with certain people who might have a deeper accent than mine, I start speaking with a deeper accent without even realizing it… Oops…
Since when is it the woman’s responsibility to make sure the yard is in shape? Isn’t that the landscaper’s job? Quit being assholes. You’re trying too hard.
My roommate was curling my hair for me before formal, and accidentally dropped it on my neck. Since it was still wrapped around my hair, it hung there for a few second before she or I could react, leave me with a lovely hicky-looking burn for formal… Perf.
I never said it wasn’t a problem, I just said it was more widely accepted. Again, as long as one knows his/her limits, I say go for it. Weed and drugs in general are disgusting, and not to mention illegal.
There’s nothing cute about glazed-over eyes and smelling like garbage. Smoking cigarettes, weed, and doing drugs in general is disgusting and the polar opposite of being classy. While alcohol is considered a “drug”, it’s definitely much more widely accepted, seeing as a good 90% of college students do it. As long as you know your limits and don’t get sloppy (which is unclassy as well), more power to you. Drugs= not okay, and reflect the Greek community in a really negative way, ESPECIALLY coke and other more hardcore drugs. So again, leave the weed to the tree-hugging geeds.
^This. Only I don’t think I’ll have a nanny… I’m not frowning upon anyone that has one or will have one, but it’s a personal choice of mine to take care of my children myself. While there are some great daycare centers out there, again, it’s a personal decision of mine to not put my children in one when the time comes.

Wouldn’t it make more since to describe them as “GDI”?
