Honestly when i was a new member, i was never hazed. I had to go to any event that was mandatory for active sisters except rituals that we weren’t allowed in. Our school hosted what was called a new member challenge, and it was mandatory through our greek system. I had to leave class early for it. And while never harmed, spoken down to, or bullied, my class had a healthy fear of the older sisters (think of how you feel about your parents). A year later, as an active, we were the ones afraid of the new members because they like to throw around the H word if we so much as told them they had to come to meetings. We had to move initiation for them 3 times because some of them didn’t feel like staying at school that day. If what I went through is considered hazing now, that is a damn shame and the whole system needs to take a chill pill.
