I’m about to buy these Frye boots and I was wondering if any of you already own them because they seem to have slightly mixed reviews. I’ve already placed the pick up in store order (aka paid for) and I just want to check and see if they really do break in? Any feedback would be appreciated!
I bought those last year! They’re really durable; the leather is super thick. They still look brand new. I liked them because they don’t have a bunch of unnecessary zippers and buckles… I’m also pretty short (5″3), and they hit just below the knee. My only complaint is that the “cognac” color is a little off… it’s a more red-brown than it appears in the picture, and I wanted something more chocolatey-brown. Oh well! Still a good investment. But, I’m currently coveting… http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shoes/boots/PRDOVR~49509/49509.jsp in chocolate. Hope that helped!
I personally think that everyone’s weight is distributed differently, so the number on the scale doesn’t really matter. But … that’s not to say that I would be content in anything but a 2.
I’ll preface this by saying I go to Texas, so some trends might be regional:
– J. Crew – I buy just about everything there! Tops, sweaters, dresses, shorts, sandals, … and they have a good selection of leather boots in the winter
– Madewell – J. Crew’s sister store, def hit or miss, but they have cute dresses every once and a while
– Ralph Lauren anything
– UO sometimes for dresses
– Norts/leggings, big t-shirts for class
– Chacos. I’m sorry. I’m not trying to say they’re pretty, but they’ve become a trend down here. They’re really comfortable. I honestly think people started wearing them ironically (by that I don’t mean hipsters. Ew. Hipsters.) and they caught on!
– Vince sweaters, joie tops
– Jewelry: leather watch, chanluu bracelet, delicate silver bracelet, long pendant locket, pearl necklace, pearl/diamond studs
– Formal dresses: I usually go for something simple. I like Rebecca Taylor (again, hit or miss), sometimes Lilly, and I recently posted on another discussion the dress I just bought: http://www.shopthetrendboutique.com/cobibdrinna.html Crossing my fingers it’s not overtly sexy.
– Bags: I believe in bags where you can’t tell how much money you spent. I think labels are really tacky, so any sort of canvas/leather tote for class. Save your nicer bags for going out.
– Jeans: Jbrand mid-rise skinny.
UGGS: Never in my entire life.
Rain boots: I love my Hunter wellies! I do have them in an understated color, though…
Please leave whatever hand job/blow job talk you may have off of the TSM wall. No one wants to read that. But I have to say, if you’re focusing on your nails, you probably aren’t sufficiently executing the task at hand … no matter how juvenile it may be
Okay, yeah, this article is pretty embarrassing, but…
… It’s 2011, and although I wouldn’t date a black guy… racism isn’t classy. Just FYI.
Seriously?
*definitely
my thoughts exactly

Good for you!
It was a comment on the quality of person/general aroma of the DMV. You need to simmer down.
