I just made an account solely to comment on this article. I really appreciate what you have to say here. The last time I had a thigh gap was when I was in eighth grade with anorexia. Since then, my body has developed mechanisms to force me to eat: if I skip a meal, I get a migraine or pass out from low blood sugar. I can’t be anorexic anymore, and if that wasn’t the case, I probably would be. Women are judged mostly on their looks, and one of the worst things a girl can be called is fat. Now one of my best friends is going through her battle with bulimia, and it just kills me that we do this to ourselves. Unfortunately, sites like TSM are constantly bringing up things like being skinny, and it’s always anywhere I look. I just want people to be judged by the person they are, not the way they look, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Anyway, thank you so much for posting this because this is exactly what I’ve been thinking lately. Some people have thigh gaps, some don’t. Who cares?
