I love my fanny pack. Hands free partying at Fratty Friday or the beach. Not like i would wear one to a formal!

Obviously someone liked our castle since legally blonde was filmed in it… Proud to be in the real “delta nu” at Southern California :)

are you sure?? just researched it..

“Delta Nu itself was actually the Villa Sol d’Oro, at Alverno High School, in Sierra Madre, CA. It’s the same private girls school where they shot “The Princess Diaries”. Both the exterior and interiors of the Villa are seen in the film as the Delta Nu sorority.”

or is this one yours? i think both were in it!

Thanks for Googling that for me! I think I show my own staircase, gosh.

What do y’all think about the sheer or lacy shirt with the bandeau underneath look? Cute summer trend or trashy? I think if the shirt is only moderately sheer it’s cute, but if I can see your belly button, it’s trashy.

At my school, we do the lacy shirts and bandeaus all the time, especially with skinny jeans. It doesn’t look trashy if you keep your hair natural and makeup light, in my opinion. I’m at a west coast school, so belly buttons and a little skin aren’t totally looked down upon if it’s done without showing off, but that’s definitely not an everyday look. I think your own discretion is best when doing the sheer top. If you’re going out, take some pictures before you leave so you can see just how sheer it is!

Even if you don’t have a lot of money, every sorority lady should be able to accumulate some function shirts, plastic sunglasses and Norts. You should invest in pearls, a Vera Bradley tote and rainbows to carry you through your time in college. Get at least one function dress and trade/borrow with your sisters if you can’t afford a lot of dresses. And on your Christmas/birthday list, put oversized Longchamp bag, Vineyard Vines tote (they make sorority prints), Jack Rogers sandals, Yurman ring, and anything from Lilly Pulitzer (preferably your sorority print or color)!

I think Vera Bradley is regional, too. I love my VB duffle, but it’s too busy for my everyday, and no one I know carries the totes. I stick to Longchamp, Kate Spade, and (completely neglected in the US) Anya Hindmarch. Here’s a question I’ve been debating terribly… flashy designer bags? I feel like the LV print, Gucci print, and Chanel quilt with the large interlocking Cs have been so endlessly copied and de-classed that I get ill looking at them.

Okay Love Lilly, every house has a few girls who keep some MJ around and maybe have “Cannabis Club Cards”, so let’s not be ignorant about it’s use in the greek community. Coke, though, is a different story since it’s very destructive and certainly not legal ANYWHERE. Though I don’t “toke up” or whatever, I understand the huge difference between weed and coke and even alcohol (technically a drug, too!). Everyone has vices, and I’d rather deal with stoners than alcoholics and coke heads.

Second. Carbs are basically in everything (including alcohol!) anyway. Try telling a fratstar that beer is for GDIs.
This is why nutrition needs to be a mandated course in elementary school… just sad!

Agreed. Though gay, Anderson Cooper is a Vanderbilt aka American Royalty. Who wouldn’t want to share office space with Gloria’s little prince?

Still being England’s enemy = being Germany and Japan’s ally during WWI and WWII. I’d love to see your veteran grandpa’s reaction to that.
Also, the UK is helping out in Iraq and Afghanistan. This isn’t the 18th century. The royal wedding media frenzy is ridiculous, but the UK has been our ally during some of our greatest moments as a nation.

    Prince Henry –> Prince Harry
Plenty of royalty goes by nickname as to not confuse one another. There are only so many Anglo names… Also, as a Katie myself, I have certainly considered a change to Katherine as I get older and enter the professional world. I don’t think of it as pretentious at all, but a sign of increased formality and seriousness.
