I just finished Summer in the City by Candace Bushnell. It’s the second in the Carrie Diaries series. Both great easy read books! Also if you’re like me and just love weddings, Nora Robert’s Bridal Quartet books are fabulous.

One book I loved was God and Football by Chad Gibbs. If you are an SEC football fan it is a must read!

I LOVE the Bridal Quartet books!! Lies Chelsea Handler told me is absolutely hilarious. I tried to read it on a plane but had to stop because I was laughing so hard that people were staring at me!
If you’re an equestrian like me, read Flying Changes and Riding Lesson. They’re both by Sara Gruen, who wrote Water for Elephants. They’re also a little bit sad, but absolutely amazing. I read them years ago and didn’t realize the author connection until after I finished Water for Elephants!! Nicholas Sparks- I completely agree with what was said earlier. A Walk to Remember is wayyyy better as a book than a movie. The Wedding is a great sequel to The Notebook. I read the last song but haven’t seen the movie, partially because I cried so hard reading the book I’m not sure I could even get through the movie. If you decide to read the book, just be ready to cry (and cry, and cry). I’ve been dying to read The Help and The Hunger Games, and this discussion convinced me to start them ASAP. Great idea ladies!

I just finished reading The Last Song and completely agree! I cried for the last half of the book it felt like. As for the movie it was way different and not nearly as satisfying as the book, but that may be just because I despise Miley Cyrus as an actress. I still cried a little at the end but I liked the book a lot better. I’m going to try to get through Nicholas Sparks’ books within the next year or less.
