Actually, please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Pi Phi was the first founded Women’s Fraternity in 1867, and was actually founded before the word sorority was even invented at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. Kappa Kappa Gamma was also founded here, as the first SORORITY; the last time I checked I don’t believe Illinois was classified as a “southern” state, honey.
