Definitely all in favor of this not being a thing anymore and no more comments, but I do think it’s important just to clarify that by my understanding a lot of the upset was that she made this video BEFORE dropping/being dropped/whatever actually happened.
The video that was giving such a negative opinion was made when she was accepting her bid and joining a sorority, which is why it’s more strange than anything. If the day you’re accepting your bid you post a public video saying you’re glad you have other friends because you know you’ll get sick of your sorority… what?
Not trying to revive any kind of discussion or debate, just clarifying a really key part of this; it wasn’t a video about why someone dropped, it was a very negative speech from someone who had just gotten a bid and was accepting it!

You know what other video has 3 segments? Human centipede.
Ok just kidding. But really, I don’t know who (if anyone) still cares about any of this. Death threats over a youtube video are… just really not okay. The whole thing doesn’t totally feel that relevant anymore.
That said, I will be at some point looking at some of her other monologue type videos such as how to survive middle school and “NO I WILL NOT SLEEP WITH YOU!” so I guess that’s a good thing that came from this.

Shelbs, if you read my comment you’d realize I’m saying it has nothing to do with your clothes or appearance it’s a bad attitude that people are mad about. I have no clue what you wear, but that has nothing to do with posting videos insulting a group that asked you to be a part of it (and I don’t mean tri delta because you were pretty nice about them, I mean greek life in general. It’s not just individual units it’s a big system that does work together no matter how much people whine about each other).
What I mean is I don’t want you to take away from all of these comments that greek life hates you because you’re different than a stereotypical “sorority girl” (seeing as a lot of comments ARE about your appearance). So if you DO make a follow up video to this I don’t want it to be about how you’re sorry you aren’t a conformist/clone/anything like that.

Dearest Shelby, before you even go down this road:
We don’t dislike (read: hate) you because you aren’t “sratty.” You were not dropped because of your probable lack of expensive or trendy clothing/accessories. You probably weren’t even dropped because of that horrible facial piercing.
The reason you are disliked and will have a very rough time in school this year is because you are rude. Plain and simple, you are an over-generalizing, offensive, delusional, un-ladylike, and mean spirited little girl. You didn’t seem to want a sisterhood, nor did you have the humility and gratitude to be a part of such a wonderful, beautiful, and successful one as tri delta.
You don’t have manners, you don’t have class, and you certainly don’t have tact.
If you can sit and watch your video and disagree with any of that you really might want to consider reevaluating your lens in which you view yourself and others; the way it is now might not be the best for building a successful future.

But being domestic is fun… That’s like saying “not needing to craft because stores sell ready made things.” Not a TSM, just lazy/incompetent.

Uh, I’ve never worked in any kind of food service, but if I’m ever paying my check (as in, out with girls not my guy) I always tip 20% because I thought it was the polite standard? Not necessarily for the server being so out of the park awesome, but just because I’m sure their job sucks and I respect that they’re doing it.
I mean, unless they’re super rude or there was some big problem. I thought the average had bumped up to 20% a while ago?

I’ve seen my boyfriend get teary a few times not at weddings/funerals and I don’t think of him as a “sensitive type” or girly or whatever.
I’m not saying guys should turn into a crying wreck every time the SPCA commercial comes on but for me seeing emotion isn’t a huge turn off that emasculates a guy. Sometimes it’s appropriate and nice that he’s trusting enough to show an emotion that does have such a negative male connotation to a girl.
Especially if his dog dies. If his dog dies and he isn’t at least close to shedding one it’s a red flag that he’s an android.
