If I read that right, your meal plan and housing are included so that’s a great price. Apartment-style housing at my college costs about that much on its own each semester, so having food and social events thrown in is a steal.
Being in a sorority isn’t about being the most exclusive, it’s about finding girls who you can call your sisters and count on to help you become the best you can be. People forget that.
My sorority is both professional and social, so because we ‘discriminate’ based on major we are associate members of CPC and considered a ‘leftover’ house. I would not have joined if not for the professional aspect because it’s important to me to have sisters who understand what the engineering college experience is like. I hear friends in other chapters complain about how they get fined for missing chapter because they have a test happening at the same time or getting in trouble for not going to enough social events. I would never join a house that didn’t have it’s priorities in line with mine. Haters are going to hate, but we’re just going to keep being awesome.
High school was ridiculously easy for me and college harder than anything I’ve ever done. That’s probably because I’m an engineering major and all my classes are hard with the occasional easy class sprinkled in because I still had to take history and English.
