wow. I’d be embarrassed if my boyfriend ever found out I wrote an article like this… for your sake I hope he doesn’t… this makes you sound superficial and yes it’s a stereotype but guaranteed that like 90% of us sorority girls don’t have daddy to fall back on and even if we do, why would we want to pride ourselves on not being able to work for something of our own. what’s the point in going to college to live on daddy for the rest of your life… this is a really negative depiction for the rest of us. be grateful you have a great guy because I think most girls would take that over some asshole in chubbies and a new pair of sperrys…
So do people also have a problem with knock off designer items being sold in China Town?Or Michael Kors bags being sold at stores like Marshalls and TJ? Buying an MK at Marshalls for $80 instead of $300 doesn’t make it any less special… it is still a luxury. That’s the same as Lilly for Target…
You should be ashamed of yourself if you are “pissed” about this new line… That makes you really pretentious and selfish. Lilly came from nothing and created an empire and if she were still alive I doubt she would be pissed, ashamed, or anything like that. A line for Target is simply that… a LINE. It doesn’t mean they are going to carry everything they carry in the retail stores, use the same fabric that they use in the retail stores, or rip you off from the full prices you paid… It is just allowing the girls who can’t drop $300 on a vest or a dress able to afford to wear the name. The dress you paid full price for will still be worth more than one you’ll pay $60 for at Target. If anything it makes Lilly more approachable and desirable to more women… which is exactly what she would have wanted.

^^ I agree. My boss bought me a Sigma Kappa tumbler and that isn’t my sorority… she didn’t know the difference. Just saying.
