Amen! All of the girls I know who joined their sorority because of the reputation or tier have either disaffiliated now or they’re kind of considered an outcast in their chapter. I was one of those girls that people would see my letters and say “Wow how did you end up there? You don’t fit the stereotype…” and it would often offend me. I would rather take my tight-knit sisterhood of so-called “misfits” over having a top-tier reputation any day. After all – once you graduate college, nobody will care what tier sorority you were in anyway….
