Ah definitely favoriting this discussion. I’m always looking for books to read. Poisonwood Bible, South of Broad, and Lone Survivor have now been added to my “to-read” list.
My fave beachy authors- Sarah Dessen and Mary Kay Andrews
For something a little more heavy but always exciting- definitely Jodi Picoult. My personal favorite is Change of Heart.
I’ve recently read two cute little road trip-summer love type books- Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour and Two-Way Street. Both had happy endings that made me smile 🙂
I want to get some Nicholas Sparks books this summer too but they need to have a happy ending- any suggestions??
hmm sweetie- not so much. One stick and a few (albeit cute) ribbons comes no where near golf, ski, or sailing expenses…. and of course lets not even begin to compare eq to FH.
I think FH’s cute and def srat but it is too new to be “classic” and can def be pretty cheap on the spectrum.
southrnbelle, bless your heart dear, a sport doesn’t have to cost loads of money to make it sratty, field hockey is a total prep school sport, making it a totes srat sport. I played field hockey and lacrosse in prep school, swam and played tennis for my club. And I was a competitive cheerleader until I was 14 and had to give it up for my figure skating. And so you know I had plenty of offers to play field hockey and lacrosse, and I’m still playing lacrosse. the boys love the little skirts.
I said it was srat. Just not necessarily a rich girl sport.

But you’re right- money should not diminish your athletic accomplishments. FH is a sport due its respect- sorry if you felt I impeded upon that.
