If you want to get technical the oldest of sororities are still fraternity’s and i’m almost positive it was in 1851 with the Adelphean Society which turned into ADpi and then Phi Mu in 1852, which makes them the first woman’s secret society. Both from Macon Georgia which if my map is correct, Is most definitely southern.
