I don’t think you know what a police officer does… You do realize there is a difference between workplace accidents (garbageman) and going through training so you can enter the line of fire to take down a gunman shooting up a mall, right? Everyday by returning to work they sign up to have their life on the line, and have to read comments like yours about how they’re job isn’t that dangerous, and listen to chants of “fuck the police” whenever some idiot charges a cop and they have to take them down.
P.S. I would love to know if police officers read TSM, that would be kind of hysterical.
He was making an arrest without backup, surrounded by a mob of drunk, angry college students. In that situation I think he has a right to use whatever force he deems necessary before more of the kids started to act like the one at around 30 seconds and attempt to get in his face.
