Lol SOOOOO UPSET. Um no, it won’t hurt anyone’s business. This will be limited edition, most of the good items will probably sell out within hours online and days in store. If anything it will help business. Where do you think a Target customer is going to go when they pick up a dress or some housewares from there by Lilly and realize that they love the brand and want more? The little stores and larger department stores that carry it… so clearly the manager (and you for that matter) doesn’t understand marketing, strategy, or supply/demand.

Agreed…. A couple of things to point out after reading the gross comments below: (1) the prints will be different from what is sold in retail stores… similar to Missoni choosing different zig zag patterns, a true Lilly fan will know the difference. (2) The quality and material will be different so, no, ding dong, someone will not be getting your “$300 dress for $20”. (3) Lilly is not unique or exclusive… I’ve been wearing it since I was five, you can buy it at at least one store in even the smallest (nice) towns… so yes you can go get it ‘around the corner’. If you want unique or exclusive you need to up your budget. (4) If you really think class/fashion is about how expensive or exclusive your clothes are then you are seriously misguided. Its about how you put it together and how you carry yourself. So yes, this line is a great thing. Its a great marketing and PR move and will benefit the masses for a limited time. So quit fretting you elitist posers.
