Can’t the pasty and the tanorexics just all get along;D
Seriously, it’s sad how many girls I see who already look like a Louis bag at 21 and 22…you definitely can get wrinkles in your 20’s, and not just your late 20’s!
That said, I have to agree with Kappa G that some color is important, at least this time of year (honestly, in December, save your skin, because a tan will just make you look like a Jersey Shore reject!). If you really want to go to the tanning beds, limit it to once a week, and if you’re lucky enough to get a reasonable amount of sun outside, skip the tanning bed altogether. More importantly, though, respect that your sisters can do as they please. If somebody insists on being the color of a caramel apple in January, that’s their prerogative, and odds are, no lecture on skin cancer is going to change their mind. By the same token, if you want to look like an albino in August, that’s okay, too. I’m sure I’ll be envying you in another 15 years.

Yeah, since going to college enables you to join a sorority, rather than preventing you from joining a sorority, that is not an opportunity cost.
On the other hand, not joining a sorority would be an opportunity cost of going to a college that doesn’t allow Greek life.

I like the concept, but I see this one being wildly unobtainable…I mean, my dad’s a jeweler, and my mom’s ring is still only two carats! If you can do better, though, snaps to you!

I really think there’s a happy medium on tanning…I mean, matching a Louis bag by 20 is hardly is TSM, but neither is looking like Caspar in August. My vote is to only soak up the rays you can get naturally.
After all, when I see a 50 year old without ANY sun damage, all I can think is that it’s sad she never got to spend any summers on the lake.

^I’m not skinny because I don’t eat. I’m skinny because I have darn good genes. Thus, I have yet to decline a snack! I’ll leave the whole not eating thing to girls who struggle with their weight…

I would say this is more of TPM (Total Psycho Move), but I’m too afraid of you, so umm, bless your heart darling. Hope your crafting goes well:)

Actually, I have read that alcohol increases the potency of Vitamin C or something:) Granted, technically the unhealthiness of the alcohol negates that benefit, but hey, a girl might as well look at the glass as half full on that one:)

Thanks rose_and_white! And are you boys feeling left out? I’m sure you if you ask your favorite sorority ladies, they could plan a nice G.I. Joe bar crawl for your birthday, complete with sandwiches:)

I wish that it were viewed as the norm on here for women to have serious career plans, but unfortunately, the bulk of this wall is filled with ladies bragging about how they will never work a day in their lives.
While stay at home mothers are doing a wonderful thing, the prevalence of their posts make those of us with career aspirations feel unheard, thus leading to posts like this one. In a perfect world, it would go without saying that all of us have interests beyond just glitter and baking pies (future stay at home mothers included), but on here, it does need saying.

Thank you! I have so many monogrammed items I have to vary it up a little, so I have both traditional monograms and monograms where the letters are all the same size!
Though unless this girl is already engaged to Mr. Phillips, this post is a tad creepy!

As far as careers go that you can get without a graduate degree, yes, engineering is certainly one of the best. Still, if we all love our new Frathoes, private beaches, and Leboutins as much as we claim (and I know I do!), 95% of engineers will never make enough! Unless you plan to make just as much, 85-150k will not provide a lifestyle that even vaguely lavish!

    Haha, so true!
I’m actually a huge feminist in that I believe men and women should both have the freedom to do whatever they please, regardless of gender. However, what I please is to have men carry heavy things for me! lol
