This is SO true! A lot of thought should be put into who gets elected. I was on slate committee twice, and we spent hours going over the pros and cons of slating people into specific positions. When we take the slate to chapter and watch the girls vote in others based on their friendships/sorority politics/popularity, it is immensely frustrating if it results in a non-cohesive board. Thankfully it finally worked itself all out! Hopefully lots of ladies read this column!
