things i personally take issue with (and yes, i realized i will practically get jumped for some of these):

    yurman.
let’s be honest, we don’t wear yurman because it’s feminine or particularly attractive (mixing gold and silver? hmm), we wear it 60% for the gaudy but well-cut gems and 40% for conspicuous consumption. and also because kate moss rocked it in those yurman ads.
so if you’re wearing a skinny little cable bracelet with a sad seed pearl at the end, you’re playing the game wrong.
points back if you’re rocking, like, 5 of them as bangles, but really, the end of your cable bracelet should be strong enough to knock a hole in the side of a natty can for an impromptu shotgun.
the earrings can be great. the albion rings are ok. and anything onyx works for me.
anything in the “confetti” collection should be outlawed.

    lilly.
swimsuits – awesome. planners/iphone covers/accessories – awesome. murfee scarves – double awesome. lace dresses – triple awesome. and i can’t wait to see the new furniture collection.
but please, ladies, don’t overdo it.
just because it has that lp label doesn’t mean its a) attractive or b) classic.
suggestion: if you know that you’re going to an event where a lot of people are going to be wearing lilly (easter, summer wedding, horse races), make it a point NOT to wear lilly. “drunk clashing clones” should not be a synonym for “sorority women.”
and if you have a cup size larger than B, your momma should have already told you not to wear shift dresses. you will invariably find yourself photographed with a uniboob slug trapped under a loud print.
also, for me, lilly is cut too large to fit flatteringly, so i take issue with that as well.

    longchamp.
i love you, but i might love my jon hart more.

    j.crew.
perhaps it’s just my school, but EVERYONE wears j.crew and it bores me to tears. i like having people ask me where i got my clothes instead of just being able to recognize a poor imitation of the catalog look.

i also don’t understand the depth of discussion regarding brands of jeans on this thread.
just wear what fits. checking out the stitching on someone’s ass pocket in order to discern the brand seems incredibly high school to me.
    who. cares.

vera bradley is a sin. for no reason should a self-respecting sorority girl own any of those nasty totes. not even a makeup or jewelry bag.
