Can you PLEASE tell me the name of your hometown bc I’m from small town Mississippi too and your “one red light”, “hanging out at the Sonic” and the whole brand new McDonalds during your senior year sounds EXACTLY… Not slightly but literally EXACTLY like my home town. Two grocery stores… Would that be a Greers and Sunflower that’s now a Ramey’s? I just think it’s too coincidental and it’s driving me nuts lol.
My family and I moved to the Houston area after my 10th grade year there in Poplarville and I swear it was the best thing that ever happened to me. After the culture shock I learned to accept others of every single color, religion, and walk of life. Small town life is constricting, sofocating, and so close-minded. Get out. See the world. Broaden your horizons.
