Kylie Jenner Just Trademarked A Kylighter, So Glow Up

If you haven’t already blown all of your money on the Kylie’s Holiday Collection, consider asking your place of employment to start sending your paychecks straight to Kylie Cosmetics, because, rumor has it, she’s creating a highlighter.

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Kylie filed a trademark for a highlighter kit that is described as “Kylighter: Cosmetics; face and body highlighter cosmetics; cosmetic brushes; Make-up kits comprised of highlighter cosmetics and cosmetic brushes.” The mark was filed on June 23, 2016, and approved on October 7, meaning that Kylie has had loads of time to concoct the perfect formula for us, which, chances are, should be hitting the market very soon.

While I doubt that we’ll see this product before the holidays, since the makeup mogul has already debuted a very overwhelming holiday collection, I’m hoping that this product will hit sometime in the early new year (when her fans pockets are still lined with holiday gift money!).

A bit more snooping discovered that Kylie has filed for some other Ky inspired products names. The earliest ones found were Kyliner and Kybrow, which were filed on March 30, 2016. Kyshadow was filed for shortly after on April 4, and all three were approved on June 13. In a quick turnaround, Kylie announced her first Kyshadow Bronze palette on July 25, and Kyliner on July 31. She now has a variety of each of these products in her permanent collection.

Kylie is notorious for wearing her products long before she actually reveals them. Personally I would do the same. It’s a great safety net to ensure that your fans like the look of your product before you reveal it, in hopes of selling it to them. If you’re wearing a lip color on Snapchat and get a roaring response from fans saying “WTF is that ugly color that you’re wearing?” (mind you, I doubt Kylie looks ugly in anything; I on the other hand, would be told to stay indoors if I wore black or green lipstick), it’s a lot easier to pull the plug on production then, rather then after you have already revealed, produced and advertised it. In some of her latest outings, Kylie has been sporting a blinding glow, which leaves me hoping that she might be teasing the new Kylighters.

Remember, Kylie Cosmetics, the Lip Kit, and all of this madness only started a year ago, and it has already exploded into an empire. I wouldn’t be surprised if this time next year we were wearing an entire face of Kylie products, and thinking Sephora who?
