I write thesis papers about those issues- this was a rant on a website that’s not exactly designed for that sort of article. If you would like to read those, I would gladly send them to you. I also do think that stigmatizing and harshly calling sorority women out for being “slut” when wearing letters is an important issue to me because it happens every time I leave my house. I am lucky that I have the chance to go to college, so thank you.
Not the intention- although it probably doesn’t portray it effectively I was trying to emphasize the fact that letters don’t automatically mean someone sleeps around. The lives of others don’t bother me much- if you can get it and get it often, you go girl.
From seeing and working with a local sorority on my campus I think this article is degrading. They do great, amazing and incredible things, their sisterhood is spectacular, and I wish this wasn’t they are portrayed by articles like this.
It doesn’t matter if you’re local, national or regional- all that matters is that your sorority reflects your personal values. To each their own I guess!
