My best friend is getting married in May of 2017 and asked me to be one of her maids of honor. You have written down all the feelings I’ve had since she got engaged. Thank you so much for explaining what I haven’t been able to put into words!
But just because my boyfriend thinks I’m beautiful or my whoever tells me I’m strong or funny or nice doesn’t mean everyone feels that way.. So yes perception is reality but not everyone’s preception is the same therefore my boyfriend might think I’m hilarious but someone I meet on the street might say otherwise. I think your point is kind of contradicting.
I love this article. I’ve always felt this way and have felt really guilty for it in the past. When I tell people they freak out, especially because I am from a pretty old school conservative family so it always shocks people that I of all people wouldn’t want to have a lot of kids. Maybe in ten years I will. But I want to live my life being married and do married couple stuff with my married friends before I have to worry about babysitters and diapers. That’s what my parents did and they are amazing parents. I don’t want to start popping out babies right when I get married then when I’m 50 feel like I might have missed out on something.
“Like without having children is a waste of life” is the most ridiculous statement I have EVER heard. Good for you that you feel your purpose in life was to fill this world with babies. But just because someone else doesn’t feel that was doesn’t mean their life isn’t worth something or is “a waste” Not everyone wants to be a baby making machine. There are plenty of amazing people in this world that don’t have or want kids.
Honey.. don’t make this any worse for yourself than it already is..

It’s a satirical website.. She’s making fun of all of the “stereotypes” that people associate with the stickers
