THANK YOU! I’ve always been friends with more guys over girls (and when I’m drunk I’m more of a ‘do stupid things’ kind of person rather than bonding or dancing or anything like that, and most of the girls I’ve met are the latter), but I always wondered if that was cause for all these articles against girls who fall into the same category as me. it’s goos to know someone feels the same.
not everyone fits into categories, there are subsets of every personality type and everyone is totally different. you can’t say all type *whatevers* are one thing or another because it completely discounts the other people. unfortunately I wasn’t blessed with “cool girl” traits and “awkward” just happens to be a lot of what I am. i’m sure a lot of other people feel the same way, and it’s unfair to judge a person on what you think qualifies them as cool or fierce or whatever you want to label it.
what if the best version of yourself you can be happens to be a little awkward? not all women are born a “type A” kind of woman, and that’s ok too. diversity in personality traits is ok. it’s not ok to make type B personalities feel like they’re any less fierce because they don’t have the traits you believe makes a woman strong and impressive
