Maybe it’s just me, and I’ll probably get a lot of down-votes for this, but I feel like almost everyone these days is looking to play the victim-card of some “social injustice” and more commonly than not, for the wrong reasons. When it gets to the point that a website has to claim that some silly competitions and games at a CHARITY event is somehow oppressive or degrading toward its volunteers (who are there by choice to raise funds for those in need), then it starts to look more like looking for a societal scapegoat like Sigma Chi was for that Jezebel article and not about societal improvement. Just my opinion is all.
A very eloquently-written and straightforward article. In the end we’re not all jerks, only some of us are just like any other big group of friends.
