I have actually been in similar situations myself, even with guys I had liked during the day that were trying to persuade me into doing things I was uncomfortable with.
If it was something I was absolutely against I said no, even shoved one guy away from me at one point.
I’m just saying that we have to take charge of situations like these and plan ahead if possible.
Not that it’s at all right that women as a group should have to take such actions when a simple no should suffice in the first place.
I agree with this column. However, we can’t let ourselves play the victim. In situations like this it is up to us as women to say no, even if it means disappointing somebody. Sex shouldn’t be something you feel obligated to do. Do it for love, do it for lust, but never feel like you have to do it. Guys will try their best to persuade you, but if you feel at all uncomfortable remove yourself from the situation.
I had a friend who had trouble saying no to persuasive guys, so we all helped out, making sure she didn’t do anything she might regret. Don’t be afraid to say no and please don’t be afraid to ask for help in staying out of these sort of situations either.
While I completely disagree with the banning your whole sorority thing, smoking is still the number one preventable cause of death in the U.S.
No you shouldn’t nag your friends about it, but you should still encourage them to do something better for their health, the same as you would try to encourage them from going back to that asshole “Jeff” that keeps screwing them over.

Pocahontas’ face wasn’t painted in the movie.
