Different airports have different types of scanners and big ones have super sensitive ones so it’s possible the one’s you’ve been going to have different scanners than the one she goes to. For instance flying out of Dulles (DC) have to step in a full body scanner and raise my arms but flying out of Key West is a simple metal detector
