….Is this supposed to be satire? Please tell me this is satire. (Show spoilers.) While there has been exactly one handmaid character in the show who has expressed that this life is better for her (because she was previously a literal crack whore), how can you ever believe that this would be a life worth living? It’s not just that they’re living in a rich family’s house and are taken care of; that’s true on the most basic level. They’re not allowed to read. They’re not allowed to write. To think. To do literally anything other than 1) have sex (read: be raped) once a month by their commander, 2) do the daily grocery shopping, and 3) pray. That’s literally all they’re allowed to do. They aren’t the mistresses set up in a fancy apartment in the city with a car service, cook, and limitless credit card.

God, I usually hate the drivel that comes out of this website (as a sorority woman, I find it largely stereotypical, cliche, poorly written, and usually insulting), but reading this “story” just infuriated me.

So, one of two things needs to happen: you either need to reevaluate whether a life of sexual servitude is *really* worth it to avoid “adulting,” or you need to leave the satire to The Onion.
