I absolutely agree with this column. I’m in a sorority, on dance team, and on the track team at my school. Where I’m from, pretty much all of us are like this. Maybe that’s because we’re not a “southern sorority” but I like that. I don’t feel like I have to go out and spend a bunch of money on Lilly or Vera just to fit in. Now don’t get me wrong I love my Sperry’s as much as the next girl, but this new “breed” of sorority girl is exactly what I like to convey. Because we’re not all blonde bimbos. Even the ones that wear their Lilly and bows. The important thing is about breaking down the awful stereotypes that have been known with being in a sorority. This is the start of that.
