To answer your question, a girl in my pledge class wrote an amazing article saying this: “I understand that in the Bible it says that marriage is between a man and a woman, but if we did everything according to the Bible, women would not have the rights we now have. Women would not be allowed to work in order to support a family and they would have to be completely submissive to their husbands. 1 Timothy 2-11-12 “Let a woman learn quietly with submissiveness. Do not permit a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.” Slavery would be an excepted practice. The Bible states in Ephesians 6:5 “Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling.” Today as Americans, we do not believe that women are inferior to men and we do not believe slavery is right.
How can we focus on the part of the Bible that states a man cannot marry another man or a woman cannot marry another woman, but are allowed to ignore other parts.
My God loves and accepts all people and he would want his people to do the same. 1 John 4:7 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.” Jesus died for our sins and yet many people cannot even be respectful to people they believe are sinning by simply loving another person.
Personally, I do not believe gay marriage is a sin. Gay marriage simply grants gay couples the same legal rights and benefits as heterosexual married couples. Allowing gay marriage grants so many people happiness and the ability to express their love and commitment publicly. Love is the greatest thing you can experience on earth and everyone deserves it no matter who they love.
Romans 15:7 “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the Glory of God.”
This was honestly so hard for me to read. I have recently dealt with a similar situation with my parents where we found out my dad was having an affair for almost three years. As much as I know it’s a two-sided situation, women like that disgust me. How can you knowingly pursue a man that you know has a family? Whether he’s happy in the relationship or not, it’s disgusting that both he and the woman he’s cheating with don’t have enough respect for themselves or the other involved parties to do the right thing; rather, they drag other involved individuals through life while keeping this secret that will eventually destroy a family when there are so many other, more positive options. I don’t understand how this girl can tell this story with so much pride and sense of accomplishment.
Or why can’t you just wear your Lilly loud and proud and let those who are unable to wear $80 baby-sized shorts enjoy the affordable alternative Old Navy offers?
This is amazing. My sorority is considered top tier on my SEC campus, and honestly a top tier house was the only thing I wanted going through recruitment. Well, a year later I’m part of a sisterhood that seems anything but. I hear my other friends that are in bottom tier sororities talk about how amazing their sisterhood is and how close they all are. My sorority, on the other hand, looks great from the outside looking in; but being an active member for a year has made me realize that, as a whole, my sorority is driven more by what other people think of us socially, rather than what a sorority should really be about. Don’t get me wrong, I love my sorority, but I think that being seen as “top dog” to everyone else in Greek life has caused members in my sorority to put important things on a back burner. For example, it seems to me like we are more focused on how many people see how many member we have supporting our philanthropy rather than how much money we are actually raising for the cause. Honestly, I love being in my sorority, but from what I see on my campus, houses that aren’t considered top tier embrace everything I want from a sorority that mine seems to deem as less important.
What a pretentious caption.
GDIs ARE PEOPLE TOO

We wouldn’t want other people visiting the same vacation hotspot as you do, would we?
