Thanks for the compliment. Although, I think I might be somewhat hypocritical in saying all this, because I am still looking for somewhat who will have a flexible schedule for kids and women like that are most often found in education. So while I am encouraging them to ignore gender roles, I still want my children to have the mother that I had.

Of course it is a personal choice; nobody would pursue a life that someone ordered on them. The message was directed towards the general population. There will always be people saying “Don’t include me, I am a special exception”, and that is fine. Let me just say this: 95% of elementary education majors at my university are female while 85% of the engineering majors are male. Business is roughly the same and biology is 60-40 male-female. So the priorities and equality are definitely skewed (even though it is self inflicted) while the opportunities are identical. And it is probable (although this is an opinion) that most of the engineers on the TFM wall are the punters who had to take dynamics and thermo 3 times to pass or the people who are on the track to switching majors but still talk big. The smart ones keep to themselves because they know nothing will come from arguing with an ignorant, stubborn daddy’s boy. That is why I wouldn’t even think of posting this on the TFM wall; there would be backlash from losers who think I am pushing some odd agenda/variation of women’s rights, and dismiss my logic immediately.

I do find it somewhat sad though that women only strive to be a man’s equal. You talk about being teachers or nurses when you have the exact same potential as a man. You could be a surgeon, astronaut, engineer, and more. But you have assigned the level of accomplishment of a doctor or engineer to that of a nurse or teacher, and are satisfied when you have reached that. If you went to a TFM wall you would see guys talking about managing hedgefunds, being doctors/engineers, and owning a buisness. Just a little food for thought… that maybe you aren’t aiming high enough.

I love seeing stuck up TSMs because when girls aren’t total snobs it makes me appreciate them that much more. It is like “wow, look at the environment they overcame in order to be less of a spoiled narcissist, it must of been hard being surrounded by girls that are all acting that way, but they have managed to overcome some of it…”

Alpha Gamma brho, calm down man, I didn’t mean to make you mad or hurt your feelings. I honestly just meant that Obama is making spoiled girls pout. No need to get defensive.
