As someone whose parents also pay for my college education, I agree it’s a blessing. But I don’t boldly announce it like you do, not because I’m ashamed, but because I am considerate of other people’s feelings. I can’t begin to imagine the burden of student debt just as I begin my career and adulthood. What you should be ashamed of is not that you’re privileged, but that you selfishly choose your big mouth over other people’s hardships.
