I am so sorry that this happened to you, nobody deserves this. It’s up to you what to do with this situation, and from this article I can tell you’re a very strong person. Best of luck in the future girl!
I hope to God that this is a joke. If it is a joke, it’s a pretty shitty one. Satire is supposed to be funny and clever, this article isn’t close to funny or clever. Having the chapter name in the user name makes it 1000x worse, this is an embarrassment to all sorority women.
I work in sports journalism, and honestly guys lose their shit if a girl knows what she is talking about when it comes to sports, even if it is only a little! Love this, and use it to your advantage ladies! Plus, sports are really fun when you know what’s going on! 🙂
literally my life, there is something about your own grandmother treating you like crap that hurts so much but you feel guilty to say anything, because everyone will be like “that’s your grandma” and you just can’t explain it. I’m so grateful for my other grandma who treated me like a princess, she literally took the place of two grandmas for me growing up
This is exactly like my relationship with my one of my grandmothers. My relationship with my other grandmother could not be better, but the other is a mess since I am constantly judged, excluded, and ridiculed. It took me until I was 21 to finally give up because it wasn’t worth my time. Thank you so much for writing this!
Agreed, I work for a hockey website and Philly fans are always the worst of the bunch when we receive news tips on altercations at games, literally the most classless things you can think of have happened at Flyers games. The NFL should be much higher on the list, football is always fun!
The NHL has the most female fans out of any sport, so I don’t really get why hockey fans aren’t on the list. I’m from Chicago and from all of the sports fans here hockey fans are probably the nicest out of all.
#8 gets me every time! Like yeah I’m petite and a size 4, doesn’t make me any less of a woman than anyone else. Being told that I’m not a “real woman” because of my size is beyond degrading.
I’m the same way, in the past few years I’ve realized the guys I hang out with are similar to my dad, and it doesn’t weird me out at all. One of the best articles I’ve read on this site, great job girl! 🙂
YAAASSSSSSS girl! Feminism is about choice and empowerment, not tearing each other down! And TSM is funny as hell, always has been and always will be. Keep it up ladies!!
Thank you so much for posting this, I thought I was alone so this makes me feel so much better. I think it’s because I have severe anxiety, but it is sooo nice to know that I’m not alone
It’s probably because I’m from Chicago where sports are a big deal, but almost every girl I know loves sports and going to games, and it’s not about impressing guys. When I was in high school my dad scored skybox tickets all the time from his boss and my girl friends were just as jealous as the guys. I literally don’t see why someone wouldn’t want to go to a game.
My favorite fraternity got their charter pulled and it was awful, couldn’t have said it better myself! Luckily I’m still just as close with all of the guys as well as the girl friends I met there, those are bonds nothing can break.
Love this!! Don’t know what I would do without my boys!!!

I have two cousins and an aunt who are alumnae in this chapter, they have such an amazing sisterhood and the cutest recruitment video!

Really needed to read this right now
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I understand tradition, but “we can’t keep it in our pants” is dumb as hell
