Or like. Jackie Burkhardt from That 70s Show. She’s funny because you know someone kind of like that, but this is just an over the top version. That’s what all of TSM is really. Making fun of ourselves by playing into the stereotypes.
You just don’t like bitch comedy then, which is fine, but there’s a place for that voice on the site. You think of Bridesmaids and you think Kristen Wig’s hot mess/self-deprecating character is the funny one, which is a lot of TSM’s humor, but Helen is a hilarious character too. She’s funny because she’s SO bitchy/judgey in a way that real people aren’t. That’s RC’s voice, which I happen to find hilarious.
No one’s talking about mistreatment? These are all really great guys who sort of had relationships with girls — meaning they treated them really well — but it never got to that next step. The only thing they did “wrong” was not make these girls their girlfriends, and believe it or not, no one owes you a relationship.
When a guy doesn’t work hard in school, and you’re turned off and don’t want to pursue something with him, it’s not “your loss” because you don’t like him. Sometimes when a guy doesn’t like you, it really, truly is because of you. And you can do what you’d like and look for the guy who doesn’t mind if you’re all relationship-y and obsessed with him two weeks in. Do what makes you happy! This isn’t an instructional piece, it’s an informational piece. And you can ignore what was said, or use it to your advantage. Doesn’t matter to me. But don’t play the victim.
You can definitely use a pen name, but please submit using the name you’d like it published under. We get hundreds of submissions, and I won’t have time to go back and change names for every girl who asks.
