    I think it’s great that you’re so thankful for what your parents have given you, and you’re right, it would be ridiculous not to accept the support they are able to provide you. But do realize that many other people are forced to work hours upon hours just to have a place to eat and live every month, on top of a rigorous education. I’m not saying that you don’t work very hard either, but it is a completely different accomplishment to put yourself through school with your own hard work and money. And even though you may have a leg up financially, I personally believe that having to struggle to really earn what you want builds a character and resilience that many wealthy people just don’t have. So while I’m sure you work very hard to earn a degree and education-and I don’t mean that in a condescending way at all-just know that you can never understand how this sounds from the other side. An article like this is doing nothing but deter people from sympathizing with your situation.
