I think it is totally ok to want to be a stay at home mom. Every woman has the freedom to make their own choices and I think that is awesome. No one should be judged for their choices to work or their choices to stay at home whether they are male or female. That being said. I do have a problem with how you present your argument. It’s great that you want to be a stay at home mom and that you make that choice for yourself but you throw working women under the bus when you say that children from families that have working moms are somehow subpar. This is a horrible attitude to have that keeps all women in the dark ages. Just like you don’t want to be judged for staying at home it’s unfair to judge those that choose to work. Every woman just like every man should have the freedom to choose and not be judged by people who make different choices than themselves. Throwing women who chose to work under the bus like you just did completely disregards your first argument about having the freedom to do what you want. This double standards just keeps the whole judge a woman if she works and judge her if she doesn’t argument alive. So instead of looking at it as my way or the highway you should look at it as every woman being allowed to choose for themselves….without judgement from anyone and regardless of which she chooses. Also as a side note it has been shown that children from families in which the mother works are actually no different than those that the mother stays at home. So yes, your generalization is incorrect.

If you look up what this women actually talks about in her speeches, she is actually an anti-feminist and anti-gender equality. So, I’m honestly not surprised she got boo’d. Still rude of the people listening to her speech, but I just wanted to point out that she isn’t exactly talking about gender equality in the way that most 21st women would be proud of or agree with.
