This isn’t something that came from my mother. It’s just a lesson I’ve learned the hard way and advice I give my sisters: You have a God-given right to smile as much and as often as possible. Don’t ever let any man take that from you.
My mom is my role model and has given me too much great advice to list here. There are four things that have stood out that I’d like to share: 1) Find a man who will put you on a pedestal. 2) You’ll know he’s the one because he’ll piss you off more than anyone else can, but he’ll still be the first person you want to see when you wake up every morning. 3) Envision the life you want every night before you fall asleep. That way God will know what to give you. 4) Have children to raise them.
