I don’t think you can just blame the parents. Your parents didn’t put Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media in your face, did they? You, as an individual, make your own choices everyday. My parents raised me with a good work ethic and to have motivation. Yes, I am commenting on here and it may be contradicting, but parents can’t always be the ones to blame. Although, it is America and every needs to find someone to blame instead of blaming themselves. There is nothing wrong with giving people a “gold star,” or “not keeping scores,” they are young kids, let them have fun. Some of those kids will be big babies as they grow, sure, but it’s not because of one Little League, it’s usually their personality. And here is where I partially agree with you and I am going against my first statement, sometimes parents can be very soft on their kids and baby them. My parents did not and I am so happy they didn’t. But it also goes back to their parenting style, usually how the parents were raised and so on and so forth. All in all, this article was spot freaking on and I think the photo at the beginning pretty much sums it up. I see those girls on campus on a regular basis and it makes me laugh, because God almighty they are some of the most annoying people I have ever met.
