I’m all for mild hazing. I don’t think coddling new members is the way to mold them into productive active members. During their years in the sorority, everything isn’t going to be given to them. They need to show they are dedicated to the chapter and most importantly, their pledge class. Also, with the excessive coddling, comes entitlement. New Members are NOT entitled to anything and need to learn to respect their older sisters. I have an old school mentality that letters should be earned. We do not do anything physically harmful to them. Our hazing is all mental which for girls, is effective. There are also other practices like interview books that are classified as hazing but why shouldn’t the new members be required to get to know their older sisters? I see nothing wrong with that practice at all.
I think for fraternities, sometimes y’all do take it a little too far with the drinking and physical activity but if it’s worked for however many years, keep on doing what you’re doing. Just be able to recognize when someone is at their breaking point and be able to ease up on them.
I’m beginning to agree with this. For the next formal I attend, I’m saving myself the time and frustration and purchasing a Southern Tide Yeti or Southern Point Yeti, then filling it to the brim with his favorite items.
While I admire your dedication, chances are you wore a white dress and white heels for your Initiation which I’m sure was after Labor Day. Get over yourself.
oh West Georgia AZD…least their chapter has gotten better since those girls all graduated
SO true!!! DLAM!
You obviously don’t know what a monogram is. Bless your heart.

A little hazing never hurt anyone, just sayin’.
Bless your heart…
She is also an honorary member of that service sorority, Gamma Sigma Sigma.
Tell them your name is Jenny and put the number (your area code) 867-5309. Works like a charm and they don’t even notice its from a song.
Honey, the cake is supposed to be completely cooled before you frost it. Better luck next time.
Snaps for yet another TSM making us all look stupid. You should study your notes better since you’re clearly not understanding them.
If anyone says anything negative about this, they’re a heartless geed.
Hope you & your Daddy had a great day!
Pin & Grin 🙂

They’re not sisters until they’re initiated…if they make it.
We call those kind of girls H.F.N.’s…I’ll leave it to y’all to figure out what it means.
TFM Pledge, how did you let this slip through?

Daycare is glorified and overcrowded babysitting. Private school programs start at age 3 and emphasize a more well-rounded curriculum.
And besides, daycare is for geeds.
