I really found this article relatable. Losing a friend has nothing to do with maturity-as some people have mentioned- it’s HARD. And it actually doesn’t matter who initiates the ending of the relationship it hurts on both sides. I ended mine last September, and it’s almost been one full calendar year and I miss her every day. Friendships are a lot like romantic relationships. You both need to work on them, and if one person seems to care more about working on it than the other – chances are you’re right and its not worth beating yourself up over in attempt to keep it alive.
